I found this thread and thought it was a pretty need visual for older students. People have located on a map where they live/were born, as well as posted a voice thread for this teacher's classroom.

Our last day
Well, it was our last day in the schools for Block B!!! I had mixed emotions today. I was so excited to be with the kids, but I knew it was our last day as Block B students. However, we also have to think about this: WE ARE ALMOST STUDENT TEACHERS!!!!! I don't know about the rest of you, but I have yet to receive my assignment in the mail. It's making me very nervous because I hate waiting! But I know I will have to, so I will. I guess. :)
So even though, today was sort of a sad day, one of my students made it all worth while. Her and I sort of bonded because she's the student I chose for my case study. Today, I walked in the room to round up our next group and she ran up to me holding a picture she drew. She said "This is for you, so you'll remember me after I go to First grade!" It was possibly the cutest/sweetest thing ever. It absolutely, 100% made my day.
See everyone next Tuesday! Good luck on portfolios!
